Verdicts
Rated 4.7 out of 5 across 66 customer reviews. Below is a selection, grouped by the repair each one describes — the rest are on the page for that repair and the area it was filed in.
How should these be read?
Each entry is one visit: what the appliance was doing, what was measured, what was changed, and how the call ended. They are printed as they reached us, first name and last initial, and the ones that are less than glowing are printed too. A wall of nothing but top marks tells a reader nothing, and a bench that has never had a part turn up faulty is a bench nobody has ever used.
No entry below quotes a figure. What a visit costs is set out on the pricing page, where it can be checked against the invoice, and what happens after the repair is on the warranty page. If one describes what your own appliance is doing, the page for that repair explains how the fault is diagnosed, and where we go covers the ground these kitchens sit on.
Flat $80 diagnostic, credited toward the repair. Written estimate before any part is ordered or fitted.
Column refrigeration
Thermador Column Running Warm or Icing Up, Jacksonville
★★★★★
The fresh food column climbed into the fifties overnight while the freezer beside it never moved. He found the evaporator fan winding open and swapped it, then stayed to watch the pull-down before writing anything up.

★★★★★
Ice was building in the drawer and the door had stopped sealing along the top edge. He set the hinge, fitted a tired gasket and vacuumed a condenser I had never once looked at. Everything shuts properly now.
Delphine A.
★★★★★
Our column was sheeting frost across the back wall and wanted defrosting by hand every fortnight. The defrost thermostat was the culprit, not the board somebody else had quoted for. Six weeks on there is no frost at all.

Induction cooktops
Thermador Induction Zone That Will Not Heat, Jacksonville
★★★★★
The cooling fan under the cooktop howled every time the surface came on. Bearing wear, he said, and he had the fan with him. It is quiet enough now that I can hear the extractor running over the top of it.
Gideon W.
★★★★★
The surface kept shutting itself down mid-cook and restarting a minute later. Airflow under the cabinet was the problem, because the cutout had been boxed in during a remodel. He opened it back up and the shutdowns stopped.
Cressida M.
★★★★★
Half of the induction surface stopped responding while the other half cooked as normal. He isolated a failed inverter board rather than condemning the whole cooktop, and pan detection works across the full slab again.

Steam ovens
Thermador Steam Oven Making No Steam, Jacksonville
★★★★★
The steam oven filled its reservoir but no steam reached the cavity. He found a blocked feed line and a tired pump, dealt with both, and ran a descaling cycle before writing anything up.
Emmeline X.
★★★★★
Descaling had never once been done and the generator was struggling for it. He serviced it properly, replaced the water filter, and wrote out the routine so I can keep on top of it myself.
Roderick H.
★★★★☆
The oven ran cool and food came out underdone. The temperature sensor had drifted. He replaced it and verified against his own probe, which I appreciated. It needed a follow-up call to settle a rattle.

Speed ovens
Thermador Speed Oven Runs but the Food Stays Cold
★★★★★
Our speed oven tripped the breaker every second or third use. He measured the draw on that circuit and found a shorting door interlock, which he replaced. The breaker has not moved once since he left.
Clemence Z.
★★★★☆
The turntable had stopped turning and the display was flickering. He sorted the drive motor the same afternoon, and the flicker turned out to be a loose ribbon behind the panel. Cable dressing at the end was a bit untidy.
Barnabas U.
★★★★★
The speed oven ran its fan but produced no heat at all in combination mode. He identified the magnetron circuit, made the safety checks in front of me, and replaced the assembly with the right part first time.

Dishwashers
Thermador Dishwasher Left Standing in Water, Jacksonville
★★★★★
Our dishwasher was leaving a film on everything and drying nothing. He found the diverter motor stalling and replaced it, then walked me through the rinse aid setting, which had been wound right down to nothing.
Susanna E.
★★★★★
Water was sitting in the base at the end of every wash. The check valve had jammed part open on a shard of glass. He cleared it, ran three cycles back to back to prove it, and left the filter spotless.
Ignatius V.
★★★★★
A slow leak at the front corner had marked the flooring before any of us noticed. He found the sump seal weeping, replaced it, and pointed out the levelling foot that had been letting the cabinet tip forward.

Ventilation
Thermador Hood Runs but Smoke Crosses the Room
★★★★★
A grinding noise on start-up that came and went. He found the blower wheel had shifted on its shaft, reset and balanced it, and the hood has run smoothly since. No part needed, which he could have sold me.
Henrietta F.
★★★★★
Grease had carried past loaded filters into the housing and the fan was slowing. He degreased the housing, fitted new baffles, and set the speed calibration. The kitchen clears in half the time.
Lysander G.
★★★★★
The remote blower in the attic had stopped answering the hood switch. He traced the fault to the control link rather than the motor, which was a relief. The hood pulls properly again.
